Climate Tyranny

*Warning. Tinfoil hat alert*

It’s not about money at all. It’s about power to be had by scaring people.

just imagine that you’re a Billionaire. You’ve got the money that you craved for, but now you’ve got  the money, you’re bored. After all there’s only so many Mega Yachts you can flaunt.

So what’s the next game changer?

The need for Power is the next excitement. Start an elite club. Give it a name. Ah, Bilderbergers sounds catchy doesn’t it?

You’ve seen how ruling your Financial Empire by the use of tyrannical force works, so you apply it to the Outside world. First you try it with lets say, Salmonella in eggs. Lo and behold the proles stop eating eggs. However that didn’t last and lets face it, it only had a limited time of effect. Step two. Up the ante with Flue pandemics, Aids will decimate the world, etc.

However the best of the lot is, someone in passing, mentions carbon. Ah ha.

Looking around you see a diverse group of “Climate scientists” all looking into a correlation, if any, between CO2 and Global warming.  I mean they’ve been around since the seventies. Mind you they had to drop the theory of global cooling as that was too hot (Pun intended). A few millions is peanuts to you, so a bit of largesse is distributed to select climate change study groups.

Next you need to obtain more help in diversifying your scam. What do you do? You set up a meeting and invite heads of government  to attend this meeting which is lavishly hosted beyond their  wildest dreams. Lets meet up in Kyoto.

In the course of this meeting you express your concerns about that dreadful CO2 and it’s ramifications and stoke the Egos of your head of state friends. Tell them, that only they, have the power to save the world, with your help of course.

Suggest that the only way to prevent CO2 rising is to tax those evil carbon users by devising a means of trading in carbon credits so that those evil polluters are made to pay for the Righteous green, Gaia loving, citizens of the planet. And of course, throw in think of the Cheeeldren and  polar bears.

Of course whilst you wait for the carbon trading system to be set up, it makes sense to make a little money on the side by insisting that we need an interim power generation system such as wind and solar. Mind you, don’t tell the politicians that wind power is useless when the wind doesn’t blow, and solar is useless when the sun doesn’t shine. I.E. at night. Of course put it about that subsidies of micro generation will bring down the cost of a home owners energy bill, but don’t tell them about the hidden costs. As I posted HERE and HERE and HERE.

Drop a little hint to an ex vice president, and a former prime minister that is trying to subsidise his letter box mouthed wife, that there is money to be made, and you’ve got it in the bag.  And make sure they are following a common purpose.

You’ve done what you set out to do. You’ve invented a new currency which you have the power to control. Carbon. Could this be the new “Black Economy”?

Well, enough for conspiracy theories for now. I mean it really couldn’t happen………………………….Could it?

COWS

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a
single cow, born in Bourne almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the county of Lincolnshire?
And, they even tracked her calves to their stalls.
But they are unable to locate 125,000+ illegal immigrants wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

Hi Jack

Harrier final flypast over Downing Street

It's good to see that the RAF still have a sense of humour.

Look at it from an angle or squint; squinting works better.

THE BRITISH CONSTITUTION

They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq ...

Why don't we just give them ours? It was drawn up by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for centuries and we're not using it anymore.

Just a thought.

Good does not mean expensive.

In relation to my last post about the expensive MRA4 debacle, I cannot understand why we always seem to go for expensive weapons systems suited for the cold war, that has been over for some time.

Now I was at sea for a considerable number of years and saw a tendency for the ordering  of very expensive high tech warships but few in number. The problem as I see it, is that those ships cannot patrol all our vested interests. To give you an example we had one Frigate/Destroyer and a support Tanker in the Caribbean undergoing counter drug operations, disaster relief, and protection for our Dependencies. We had another small warship in the Falklands along with a support tanker.

Now we have one minor war vessel in the Falklands, most of the time no warship in the Caribbean, and one support tanker trying to cover both areas.

In the past after the Falklands conflict we normally had a Type 21 Frigate and a cheap and cheerful Rover class tanker in each area of operation.

This gets me to  the point I would like to make. Why don’t we either build/buy some cheap and cheerful frigates armed with a gun on the front, a point defence missile system, and a reasonable anti submarine detection system.

Another idea would be to build more “Wave Class” Auxiliary Oilers (AO) which have proved themselves in the Caribbean by the very fact that with their fuel capacity, their facility to carry a Law Enforcement Detachment  Team from the US coastguard, Helicopter, weapons, etc, they have become a range extender for the coalition in the fight against drugs. (Incidentally I was on an AO out in the Caribbean, where we intercepted 32 Tonnes of Cocaine being shipped to Europe). Present armament Two 30mm powered mounts, two Mk 48 miniguns, and five GPMGs. Plus active decoy systems, ECM, and ESM. Plus the provision to fit CIWS phalanx.

Suez 2009 295

Pic is of a minigun.

Armament could be enhanced by buying something like THIS. That would be quite sufficient.

Lets think numbers, rather mine’s bigger than yours.

And don’t get me started on Eurofighter Typhoon.

Doesn’t make sense.

You’ve just upgraded your fleet of cars with new sound systems, fitted new fuel economic engines and have paid the cost already. Surely you wouldn’t cut them into pieces because you couldn’t afford to run them, would you?

Nimrod

Substitute the word “car” for Nimrod MRA4, and you see why you shouldn’t let Governments run anything.

Customer Service?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you to complain about the service I have received from your contractors Appliance Warehouse. I am currently waiting for a call back from one of your managers, Jenny Chilton, but I want to put this complaint in writing to make sure that it is dealt with in the correct and appropriate manner.

I purchased the flat above in October 2010, it was built in 2008 and there was a new Baumatic oven put in at the time. On th 6th January 2011 I returned home to find that the oven would not turn on. I called Baumatic on the 8th January to find out if the oven was in any kind of warranty. It was not but I was offered a 1 year warranty for £114 that would cover all parts and labour to fix the oven and if it could not be fixed then the money would be refunded. I signed up immediately. I was told that Baumatic use a contractor in my area called Appliance Warehouse who would call me on Monday to make an appointment to send an engineer.

There was no call on Monday so I called to chase this, I received a call on Tuesday 11th January. The first available appointment was Thursday 20th January between 9-1. I booked this appointment and took the morning off work.

It got to around 11.30 and I had heard nothing about the arrival of an engineer and mindful that I had to be in Milton Keynes for a meeting at 2.30pm I rang Baumatic to find out what time the engineer would be here. I was put through to a very unhelpful and rude lady at Appliance Warehouse called Jenny. Jenny told me that the engineer may be late say 1.30-2pm but she had no way of knowing. I asked why I was last in the queue and not first to be done at 9 or 10am but she said they do not make a list of who they are going to visit?! I asked if she could call the engineer to find out what time he would be here as I would not be able to be here at that time, she said that she was not allowed to ring the engineer. I asked why and she said it was so as not to bother them. I said this was ridiculous and asked to speak to her manager, she told me he would not be there until between 5-7pm. I said this would not help me and she said tough, there was nothing she could do. Naturally I was very angry at this so called baumatic back and asked for a manager call back. A lady called Julie Standford (I think correct spelling) called me back about 15 minutes later and was very helpful. Julie called Appliance Warehouse and the engineer arrive at 12.30 so within the 9-1.

The engineer arrived in a car with no spare parts so if any part was needed there was no chance of him fixing it today, this despite him being booked by Baumatic and them knowing what oven I have. He said that the switch has gone and it will be another week before it arrives and he can come back. Great, another week without an oven.

I have heard nothing until today, 26th January- 18 days after taking out this policy, when I called Baumatic to find out what is going on. I was informed that the part has been dispatched today. Why has it taken a week to send the part out? If my policy is with Baumatic then why does it take them a week to send one of their own parts out? I asked to be put through to Appliance Warehouse so that I could prebook an appointment as I will actually be at home anyway on Friday afternoon.

I called helpful Jenny at Appliance Warehouse and was told the first available appointments are next Thursday 3rd February or next Friday 4th February but that these cannot be booked until my part has come in. Even though Baumatic have dispatched this part they will not book it until they have the part. Even though I am paying Baumatic for this service not Appliance Warehouse.

Going on the last time I had to book an appointment with Appliance Warehouse it is unlikely I will be able to get this appointment next Thursday or Friday so it will mean yet another week without an oven as they will not at least pre book this appointment.

I am extremely unhappy with the service received so far. Appliance Warehouse are nothing but rude when I have to speak to them. The people at Baumatic while helpful and polite on the phone do not seem to carry any weight with Appliance Warehouse.

For the money I have had to spend on eating out and takeaways in the length of time the oven has been broken I may has well have just bought a new oven. I can tell you that if I had it would not have been a Baumatic.

To top this all off my policy documents arrived yesterday and my name was spelt Hewallmosn! How can anyone have thought that is someones name? I know my name is a little unusual but that is ridiculous, it is a wonder I received the letter at all.

I hope that someone will call me as soon as possible to resolve this situation and offer me some sort of compensation for my time wasted, phone calls to and from Baumatic and Appliance Warehouse but most of all just FIX MY OVEN.

Yours Faithfully

I’m having to become a travel agent again.

Last year it was expected that because I had lashings of free time, I could organise a foreign holiday to fit round a wedding in Italy.

Of course I’m having to do it all over again, this time to Crete.

Have you ever tried to move money abroad using Swift, and an IBAN number? Well my bank really makes it difficult and charges me for the effort.

Next onto the plane booking and then the car hire.

If you follow the link below he reckons  there are vested interests  involved in pushing the made made global cause.

Did You Commit A Crime In Arizona Today

This is an incomplete post and it will be updated as more information is supplied to me.

Many of you have heard of the Gary McKinnon case where the lop sided extradition treaty signed by the Labour Government with the United States allows citizens of the the United Kingdom to be extradited to the US without any evidence being presented.

Until two nights ago I had not heard of Brian Howes and his wife who face 98 years in jail in Arizona and their children being taken into care.

Brian ran a pyrotechnic chemicals supply company that was registered with the Home office and the Special Branch. He has never been arrested for any crime in this country, yet he and his wife have already spent seven months in jail separated from their children. He has never been to Arizona.

The Arizona DEA allege, without supplying any evidence, that he was supplying chemicals that could be used to make crystal meth, I understand from Brian that a senior police officer from the UK has already been to the States to accept an award for apprehending a 'dangerous felon' ( Brian and his wife have yet to be convicted of anything in either country).

I am waiting for further information from Brian but it looks as though the DEA set up two sites to entrap people in the States purchasing chemicals and fed these through Brian's company. Brian has not been charged with any crime here whatsoever, and no evidence has been supplied to the UK for extradition because there is no requirement to do so under the 2003 treaty.

Last Friday Brian and his wife were compelled to attend their last extradition hearing. Brian's wife is heavily pregnant and asked to be excused as she was feeling so unwell. This was refused.

During the course of the hearing Brian's wife went into premature Labour, they asked leave of the Court during an adjournment that his wife could be taken to hospital. It took 15 minutes for a Judge to come back to give the Court's permission for her to be taken to Hospital, the Judge did however release Brian to go with her.

The Hospital want to give the baby the best possible chance of survival by staying within the womb for as long as possible. As I write Brian and his wife are again en route to hospital as she is in so much pain.

The Mail on Sunday are running with this story on Sunday. I said to Brian that I did not want to queer their story and Brian's publicity, by releasing this story now. He has asked that this gets out now as they are desperate and have lost all their money in defending this.

If  they have committed a crime here they should be charged here, if  the US want to extradite them provide the evidence first.

This 2003 Treaty should be scrapped or put under moratorium. You can help, please retweet this, write to your MP, write a blog post, just do something for a very desperate family.

How many of our fellow citizens are facing this ?

Fair Fuel UK Petition

Fuel prices are rocketing. Road haulage companies, general businesses and private motorists are hurting. The whole economy is suffering. Fuel prices are the talk of the nation and the Prime Minister and his senior colleagues are being pressed from all angles on this issue. We believe that there is a window of opportunity to persuade the Government to tackle rising fuel prices. We have joined with the FTA to support http://www.fairfueluk.com/, which seeks to represent all road users, and is an addition to existing, intensive lobbying activity from the RHA.
We can make a difference but need your help and the help of everyone in and close to your organisation! The campaign aims are to see the next fuel duty hike planned for April which would add another 3.5 pence per litre scrapped AND to get the Government to bring in a fuel price stabiliser.
This campaign does not support blockades or any disruptive action. It does believe that MASSIVE lobbying of the politicians can and does work. It is being organised on our behalf by Peter Carroll. Peter has wide experience in the road haulage industry and founded and ran the Gurkha Campaign that won the right to live in Britain for brave Gurkha soldiers. Peter and his team at Why Not Campaign Limited are now fighting for a fair deal on fuel.
We need you to sign up at http://www.fairfueluk.com/and getting all your friends and contacts to do the same. The more that sign up - the greater the chance of success. We request that you forward this email to all your contacts and ask them, in turn, to forward it to all of theirs. Please try and get drivers, managers, admin staff, suppliers, customers, friends and family to sign. By this means, we will reach the tens of thousands of people that we need to be behind us.

A very very good read.

A thoughtful article by Mark Steyn on how far we in the western world have fallen. If you don’t read anything else tonight , this I recommend to you.

A taster of what is in the article:

When William Beveridge laid out his blueprint for the modern British welfare state in 1942, his goal was the “abolition of want,” to be accomplished by “cooperation between the State and the individual.” In attempting to insulate the citizenry from the vicissitudes of fate, Sir William succeeded beyond his wildest dreams: Want has been all but abolished. Today, fewer and fewer Britons want to work, want to marry, want to raise children, want to lead a life of any purpose or dignity. Churchill called his book The History of the English-Speaking Peoples—not the English-Speaking Nations. The extraordinary role played by those nations in the creation and maintenance of the modern world derived from their human capital.

It’s not just the Welfare state he comments on, but just about everything  pertaining to the world we live in Today.

Just click on the Hyperlink above to read the whole article.

Suzie say's; We really need a new computer.

The teacher say's; Yes, that would be useful.

Wendy say's; We really need a new car.

The teacher say's; Yes, that would be useful too.

Little Johnny say's; We don't need anything !

The teacher say's; Oh, come on. Everybody needs something.

Little Johnny say's; No. My Sister came home with a Muslim yesterday,and my Dad said;

Well, that's all we fucking need !!!!

Drink and be Merry.

Well, actually No. The Government thinks all you lot drink to much. *FE takes a slurp of his single malt*

Supermarkets and shops will be banned from selling drinks for less than any duty and VAT owned on them under proposals announced by the Home Office.

The move means a can of lager could still be sold for 38p and a litre of cider for just 40p.

Of course this will save thousands of avoidable deaths I here you cry.

Again, Actually no it won’t.

Petra Meier, professor of public health at Sheffield University, who carried out research on issue for the previous government, said the move would have little impact on consumption and drinking habits were unlikely to change.

She estimated it would result in saving 21 lives a year.

Alright I’ll come clean and admit I did miss a bit out here.

In contrast a blanket minimum price of 50p per unit of alcohol would prevent 3,000 deaths a year

But then again this is the same tactics employed by the likes of Alcohol Concern and ASH. Just cherry pick some of the data and bury the rest.

Anyway on here, 50p per unit would mean, your litre of cider would cost you ££2.75, and your can of lager £1.22. Just so you know.

Sunday silly

A friend of mine just started his own business, making landmines that look like prayer mats.

It’s doing well.  He says, “Prophets are going through the roof.”

Islamophobia comes to Town

It’s plainly rife where I live. And where was this pernicious article published?

AN anti-Islamic article aiming to "liven up" a church magazine has sparked outrage after it branded the religion a "threat".

Who is this shadowy group attacking Muslims in the street?

The 80-year-old divorcee claimed in her column for the St John's Church publication that young Christian schoolchildren were being brainwashed with Islamic ideology.

Mind you, I’d like to read what she originally wrote before the censorship kicked in.

Both magazine editor Nick Hawkins – who admitted toning down the original submission because it was "too extreme" – and the Reverend John Chandler this week defended the piece, which was sent out to all homes in Hildenborough.

And the usual from the professionally offended:

But residents and the West Kent Muslim Association (WKMA) have called it "unacceptable" and "harmful to the community".

Well mateys. I’m a resident and I’m not in the slightest bit offended.

And of course a politician has to jump on the publicity bandwagon. It’s all so predictable.

Tonbridge Green Party's Steve Dawe said he hoped the article – which sits alongside more benign offerings about coffee mornings and whist drives – was a one-off.

And on a final note.

Mrs Clark, of Bramble Close, said she stood by her views, saying: "This used to be a Christian country."

Good for you Mrs Clark.

If you want to see what she wrote there is a transcript in the comments following the article In Thisiskent.

UPDATE:

of course there is always one of the Righteous in the comments.

I think this piece in the Hildenborough parish magazine was a step too far but was probably written by someone whose understanding of Islam is limited to what she sees and hears in the British media. I'm not surprised that the Editor of the magazine and the local vicar defended the article, as the Christian community in Hildenborough is quite evangelical in its make up, However, if the Editor wants to liven things up then he must be prepared to publish balancing articles which may in turn cause offence to the Christian community. Personally I am an atheist and don't have a lot of time for any particular religion but I respect people's beliefs and would expect them to respect mine. Christianity is meant to be a tolerant religion and the article in question does nothing to promote that. I suspect that what Mrs Clark is actually afraid of is extremism and what she has to realise is that extremism in any religion is a destructive force. I think the Editor of Keys should print some form of disclaimer, retraction or apology for this article, if not then I would support Steve Dawe in his suggestion that this should be a matter for the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Nudge Nudge wink wink.

Look you Fucktards in the Coalition. I don’t want to be nudged by a shower of wankers pretending to know what they’re talking about. As far as I’m concerned the majority of politicians have never held down a job in the real world, but just live in Lala land, and spout their illiberal claptrap. You are elected by, we the people, to do our bidding as we see fit and not to be our rulers.

Tunisia may be the start that quite a few of us see coming in the future, as your control is broken when the masses of the British population wake up and realise the slavery that you are attempting to deliver on us. (My God. I’m sounding like a left wing reactionary here).

If I want to smoke, drink, eat fatty foods, and all the other enjoyable pastimes, that at least makes my life palatable. ITS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

Freedom in a truly democratic society, is to allow the individual to make choices as long as it doesn’t conflict with others’ choices.

I don’t want to hear your wailing that the NHS can’t cope, whilst you throw money at India in development aid. FFS, it’s got a space programme. We haven’t, so why throw money into an emerging economy that will outstrip ours in the next few years.

Why are you allowing that ecoloone  Huhne spunk away billions on useless wind turbines that don’t deliver 30% of their rated  capacity at the best, and actually cost us more when the winds don’t blow?

Why are we bailing out the Eurozone when we are not even it, and the majority of the population want out of the EU anyway?

I do not want to be nudged into accepting that the so called consultation exercises will change anything. We’ve seen the spin after Clegg equated  repealing the death penalty, with the smoking ban.

I don’t want to be nudged into anything.  I would hope to nudge my elbow sharply into the Adam’s apple of the state ensuring that it dies an extremely slow and painful death.

Don’t say….. What’s happened to Global warming?

When the leaflet drops onto your mat. make sure you read it.

This is an official Government warning on behalf of the Green party and the University of  East Anglia.

In the shadows

acpo

I’ve just been reading an article in the Guardian(Shock, Horror) about that shadowy body called ACPO. For those that don’t know, this stands for Association Of Chief Police Officers.

Now most people would think that it would be a good thing for all those nice Senior Police Officers, to get together to discuss strategy in the war against crime.

But what do you know about them? I suspect not very much.

Fact one.

Acpo was once a liaison group. But, like all bureaucracies, it has grown. It now runs its own police forces under a police chief boss, Sir Hugh Orde, like a British FBI.

Fact Two.

It is self financing. It trades on its own account, generating revenue by selling data from the police national computer for £70 an item (cost of retrieval, 60p).

and

It owns an estate of 80 flats in central London.

and

Operating a separate private firm offering training to speed-camera operators, which is run by a senior officer who was banned from driving.

Having just assisted my daughter to buy a flat in London, I know that they’re not cheap. My estimate of that “little investment” in monetary terms is a value of at least £20,000,000. That’s my lowest estimate. Other sources indicate the figure could be as high as £32,000,000.

What do they need all that money for?

Fact Three.

As a private company, Acpo need not accede to Freedom of Information requests (Section 32 of the FOIA. Law Enforcement) and presumably could distribute its profit to its own board.

Maybe that’s the answer to my question about Fact two. But then one of their basic principles stated in their own code of ethics reads.

Holders of public office should take decisions solely in terms of the public interest. They should not do so in order to gain financial or other material benefits for themselves, their family, or their friends.

Which can be downloaded HERE and their structure can be seen HERE

Should we not be a tad scared that a few senior Police Officers wield so much power with so little accountability?

Questions I would like answered are:

Why does this body need to make so much money if it is only a discussion group of CPOs?

Why is it allowed to sell data from the Police national computer?

The article where I sourced this material can be read in the Guardian . The article is about Mark Stone, the Police Infiltrator that went native.

*Puts tinfoil hat back in cupboard*

Thursday 13 January 2011

We’re all doomed I say.

And I’m not talking about Global warming here.

Wait a Mo while I put my tinfoil hat on.

tinfoil

Ok now that’s done, I shall begin.

You remember all those stories in the press in the last week of birds falling out of the sky? Well here’s the reason apparently.

Because the Earth's magnetic poles are shifting!

Last week, a report from the Russia's Ministry for Extraordinary Situations (MCHS) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minist...) warned that the weakening Earth magnetosphere was allowing "poisonous space clouds" to enter deep into Earth's atmosphere where it is coming into contact with birds.

And further on in the article this came from:

The most likely explanation is that the birds were killed in-flight by changes in the composition of the air they were breathing. And as it turns out, Noctilucent clouds are largely made of a poisonous gas known as Hydrogen Cyanide. For all you chemists reading this, as the EUtimes.net website explains:

Hydrogen Cyanide is also formed in interstellar clouds through one of two major pathways: via a neutral-neutral reaction (CH2 + N -> HCN + H) and via dissociative recombination (HCNH+ + e- -> HCN + H). The dissociative recombination pathway is dominant by 30%; however, the HCNH+ must be in its linear form. Dissociative recombination with its structural isomer, H2NC+ produces hydrogen isocyanide (HNC), exclusively. (http://www.eutimes.net/2011/01/pois...)

And of course if you believe that…………………….

*FE quietly takes of his tinfoil hat and steals away down to the cellar. Hoping no one will see him go*

And you wonder why the crime rate is high?

filler cap

A police force had to spend thousands of pounds fixing vehicles after officers put petrol in diesel cars — despite “talking” fuel caps warning them not to.

Officers from Essex Police used the wrong fuel 332 times in the past seven years at a cost of £62,000.

Figures disclosed by a Freedom of Information Request show that police chiefs were first alerted to the problem in 2008. They decided to take action by installing yellow fuel caps and a warning system on each car at a total cost of £4,000.

But despite the precaution, diesel police cars were wrongly filled with petrol 110 times in the following two years.

Filler caps at £4,000 a car! Why couldn’t they’ve  just written above the filler in felt tip?

Fight

My three least favourite organisations in the UK (Apart from Parliament of course), seem to be heading for a bit of a bun fight.

The BBC serves Freedom of Information request (FOIA) on UK Government over weather forecast failures secrecy in worst winter for 100 years.

In an almighty battle to salvage credibility,  three British government institutions are embroiled in a new global warming scandal with the BBC mounting a legal challenge to force ministers to admit the truth. Sceptics ask: Is the UK government’s climate propaganda machine finally falling apart?

I haven’t seen this in the UK MSM and certainly not on BEEB news.

And hopefully this will come to pass.

With the BBC appearing to take the side of the Met Office by seeking to force the government to give honest answers, untold harm will likely befall Prime Minister Cameron’s global warming policies on energy, taxation and the environment.

We shall see. You really should read the rest. It could spark an explosion in the next few weeks.

No wonder my Council tax is so high.

railings

A PLAN to remove safety railings which shield walkers from traffic in Tonbridge town centre has already cost the taxpayer £39,000 – and that's before a decision has even been made.

The Courier can reveal Kent County Council has handed a staggering £39,037 to Jacobs Engineering to look into tearing down the pedestrian guard railings in 12 towns across the county.

Now I could have done that at a cost of a few litres of diesel, a pad of paper, and a pencil.

It gets worse.

Kent County Council's Pauline Banks said the cost of the report "did not include the cost for actual removal".

Well, Kent County Council, I have a proposition to make to you. If you want them taken down then buy me a hacksaw, plenty of blades, and a file and I’ll do it for you for £10 an hour. If you don’t mind it taking a while.

Let me see. There’s 350 of the blighters so if I were to remove two per hour for eight hours per day, it would take me 21.8 days. Now as a true working man I would expect to have numerous Tea breaks and chats to passers by, so I’ll say a month would be reasonable. I’ll even save on expenses as Mrs F.E. can drop me in the High street in the morning, on her way to work, and pick me up on her way home.

Lets see 31 days x 8 hours x £10/hour = *Looks for calculator* £2480.

Lets make it a round £2500. You can pay for my tea.

How about it KCC?

That Toll Bridge.

The Dartford one.

When it was first decided to have a Dartford crossing, the Criteria was that once it was paid for with a suitable profit for the builders it would revert to a free crossing.

Ministers said they would abandon the tolls - £1 for cars and £2.90 for trucks - when construction costs for the tunnel and bridge were paid off, but when the project went into profit in 2004 they remained in place.

More than 54 million vehicles use the crossings each year, contributing more than £60 million to the Treasury.

Not content about raising the cost of the Toll this year by 50%, they are now going to make even more money in future years.

The main problem with the crossing is the tailbacks at peak times, caused by the booths that extortionate  collect money on behalf of the Treasury.

However the government has a cunning wheeze. Yes, it will get rid of them  to ease the traffic flow, but replace them with ANPR.

And of course to pay for all this we the Cash Cow motorist are going to have the privilege of an increased charge of £2, rising to £2.50 next year.

Notwithstanding that they will be able to track the movement of 150,000 vehicles every day. Think what they can do with that data. (hopefully get snowed under).

Damn Climate sceptics.

The other day I was just reading through one of James Delingpole’s climate blogs when I came across a reference by one of the regular commentators to CACC. As I read further I realised that this was a website set up to attempt to prevent discussion on various blogs, by have Trolls invade the sceptic blogs and try to mitigate the effects in the comments. This group calls themselves the Campaign against Climate Change and has a website to support warmists in disrupting discussion which doesn’t agree with their views on AGW.

What they do is send out regular E mails to those who subscribe, on who are the most evil sceptics of the moment Well I must admit I couldn’t resist subscribing, just to see what I would receive.

Below is what I received in my E mail today and I was surprised that all it was, was a list of a few blog posts. I thought at least as a “paid up” (supposedly) member I would get some hint of  what I should be posting on these evil denier blogs. The pitiful offering is below:

Included was a small précis of each which I wont bother you with.

I’m just wondering if I’ll ever get on their esteemed list. (Note  to self: Must try harder).

And the icing on the cake is…………………………………..

George Monbiot is their President.

They don’t seem to have a comment facility on their blogs, but I see that they have a Forum. In that case I shall have to break out my secret weapon.

Myths about Climate Change.

Thought I’d post this just in case there are any warmists passing by.

TEN MYTHS of Global Warming

MYTH 1:  Global temperatures are rising at a rapid, unprecedented rate.

FACT:  Accurate satellite, balloon and mountain top observations made over the last three decades have not shown any significant change in the long term rate of increase in global temperatures. Average ground station readings do show a mild warming of 0.6 to 0.8Cover the last 100 years, which is well within the natural variations recorded in the last millennium. The ground station network suffers from an uneven distribution across the globe; the stations are preferentially located in growing urban and industrial areas ("heat islands"), which show substantially higher readings than adjacent rural areas ("land use effects").

There has been no catastrophic warming recorded.

MYTH 2: The "hockey stick" graph proves that the earth has experienced a steady, very gradual temperature increase for 1000 years, then recently began a sudden increase.

FACT:  Significant changes in climate have continually occurred throughout geologic time. For instance, the Medieval Warm Period, from around 1000 to1200 AD (when the Vikings farmed on Greenland) was followed by a period known as the Little Ice Age. Since the end of the 17th Century the "average global temperature" has been rising at the low steady rate mentioned above; although from 1940 – 1970 temperatures actually dropped, leading to a Global Cooling scare.

The "hockey stick", a poster boy of both the UN's IPCC and Canada's Environment Department, ignores historical recorded climatic swings, and has now also been proven to be flawed and statistically unreliable as well. It is a computer construct and a faulty one at that.

MYTH 3:  Human produced carbon dioxide has increased over the last 100 years, adding to the Greenhouse effect, thus warming the earth.

FACT:  Carbon dioxide levels have indeed changed for various reasons, human and otherwise, just as they have throughout geologic time. Since the beginning of the industrial revolution, the CO2 content of the atmosphere has increased. The RATE of growth during this period has also increased from about 0.2% per year to the present rate of about 0.4% per year, which growth rate has now been constant for the past 25 years. However, there is no proof that CO2 is the main driver of global warming. As measured in ice cores dated over many thousands of years, CO2 levels move up and down AFTER the temperature has done so, and thus are the RESULT OF, NOT THE CAUSE of warming. Geological field work in recent sediments confirms this causal relationship. There is solid evidence that, as temperatures move up and down naturally and cyclically through solar radiation, orbital and galactic influences, the warming surface layers of the earth's oceans expel more CO2 as a result.

MYTH 4: CO2 is the most common greenhouse gas.

FACT:  Greenhouse gases form about 3 % of the atmosphere by volume. They consist of varying amounts, (about 97%) of water vapour and clouds, with the remainder being gases like CO2, CH4, Ozone and N2O, of which carbon dioxide is the largest amount. Hence, CO2 constitutes about 0.037% of the atmosphere. While the minor gases are more effective as "greenhouse agents" than water vapour and clouds, the latter are overwhelming the effect by their sheer volume and – in the end – are thought to be responsible for 60% of the "Greenhouse effect".

Those attributing climate change to CO2 rarely mention this important fact.

MYTH 5:  Computer models verify that CO2 increases will cause significant global warming.

FACT:  Computer models can be made to "verify" anything by changing some of the 5 million input parameters or any of a multitude of negative and positive feedbacks in the program used.. They do not "prove" anything. Also, computer models predicting global warming are incapable of properly including the effects of the sun, cosmic rays and the clouds. The sun is a major cause of temperature variation on the earth surface as its received radiation changes all the time, This happens largely in cyclical fashion. The number and the lengths in time of sunspots can be correlated very closely with average temperatures on earth, e.g. the Little Ice Age and the Medieval Warm Period. Varying intensity of solar heat radiation affects the surface temperature of the oceans and the currents. Warmer ocean water expels gases, some of which are CO2. Solar radiation interferes with the cosmic ray flux, thus influencing the amount ionized nuclei which control cloud cover.

MYTH 6The UN proved that man–made CO2 causes global warming.

FACT:  In a 1996 report by the UN on global warming, two statements were deleted from the final draft. Here they are:
1)     “None of the studies cited above has shown clear evidence that we can attribute  the observed climate changes to increases in greenhouse gases.”
2)     “No study to date has positively attributed all or part of the climate change to man–made causes”

To the present day there is still no scientific proof that man-made CO2 causes significant global warming.

MYTH 7:  CO2 is a pollutant.

FACT:  This is absolutely not true. Nitrogen forms 80% of our atmosphere. We could not live in 100% nitrogen either. Carbon dioxide is no more a pollutant than nitrogen is.  CO2 is essential to life on earth. It is necessary for plant growth since increased CO2 intake as a result of increased atmospheric concentration causes many trees and other plants to grow more vigorously. Unfortunately, the Canadian Government has included  CO2 with a number of truly toxic and noxious substances listed by the Environmental Protection Act, only as their means to politically control it.

MYTH 8: Global warming will cause more storms and other weather extremes.

FACT:   There is no scientific or statistical evidence whatsoever that supports such claims on a global scale.  Regional variations may occur. Growing insurance and infrastructure repair costs, particularly in coastal areas, are sometimes claimed to be the result of increasing frequency and severity of storms, whereas in reality they are a function of increasing population density, escalating development value, and ever more media reporting.

MYTH 9:  Receding glaciers and the calving of ice shelves are proof of global warming.

FACT:  Glaciers have been  receding and growing cyclically for hundreds of years. Recent glacier melting is a consequence of coming out of the very cool period of the Little Ice Age. Ice shelves have been breaking off for centuries. Scientists know of at least 33 periods of glaciers growing and then retreating. It’s normal. Besides, glacier's health is dependent as much on precipitation as on temperature.

MYTH 10:  The earth’s poles are warming; polar ice caps are breaking up and melting and the sea level rising.

FACT:  The earth is variable. The western Arctic may be getting somewhat warmer, due to unrelated cyclic events in the Pacific Ocean, but the Eastern Arctic and Greenland are getting colder. The small Palmer Peninsula of Antarctica is getting warmer, while the main Antarctic continent is actually cooling. Ice thicknesses are increasing both on Greenland and in Antarctica.

Sea level monitoring in the Pacific (Tuvalu) and Indian Oceans (Maldives) has shown no sign of any sea level rise.

Mind you warmists are unlikely to take any notice and shout me down as an evil denier. Then again, who am I to care.

Climate change

I just thought I would promulgate a worthy document borrowed from Autonomous Mind. It’s a good read, if you like me feel we are being conned into paying for energy that is essentially worthless. Except of course for those who stand to make a great deal of money. Thanks AM. Have a read.

Clowns

No. This post has nothing to do with Obnoxio who left the Blogosphere a while back.

This is just a pointer to a very well written article in Spiked about how we have lost our Liberty in the last decade or so. It outlines how the drip drip of insidious legislation has slowly but surely turned the nation into a cowed populace who are forever looking over their shoulders.

Here's a taster for you to peruse.

Over the past 10 years, activities such as dealing drugs or robbery have not become significantly more difficult. But it has become extremely difficult to hold a boys’ football match (requiring CRB checks and child protection courses for the coaches); to hold a concert in a village hall (requires a ‘premises licence’ for ‘regulated entertainment’); to invite an African artist to give a talk at your art gallery (requires that you register with the Home Office as a ‘licensed sponsor’ and issue a ‘certificate of sponsorship’ to your visitor); or to hold a charity cake stall (requires a Public Liabilities Insurance Certificate and in some cases a Portable Appliance Test Certificate).

It’s a thoughtful piece that should be required reading for our political class.

If you have the time the whole article by Josie Appleton it’s HERE

Two jags needs the money it would seem

Our Police State.

Thanks to Julia over at Ambush Predator for this one.

A woman has told how she was left “stunned” when her boss was contacted by vice squad officers after her car was seen in Bradford’s red light area.

Anne-Marie Carroll, 45, who is a member of the Bradford Catholic Players, was on her way to the group’s rehearsal rooms in Rebecca Street, driving alone in a company car, which was noted by officers investigating kerb crawling.

Of course she got a grovelling letter of apology from the Police.

Err No.

Supt Williams said: “We make no apology for the robust way in that we tackle the issue of kerb crawling in Bradford.

“This particular tactic to target the men who solicit women has been used for a number of years in the city and with notable success.

“The letters are sent out following detailed observations of a vehicle’s movements and the registered owner is contacted whether it is an individual or a business.

Another case of presumed guilty until you prove you’re innocent.

Those cuts

Last night 1watched the local news where the head of Kent county council was put to the task of justifying £95 million in cuts. What was so interesting was the fact that he could shed 1500 jobs without a reduction in services. The question I would have liked to ask him would be, what the fuck do those 1500 actually do?

He further tied himself up in knots when he pronounced that elderly care would be shifted to the private sector. Why? Because the private sector could care for the elderly cheaper and more efficiently, was his reply. FFS again. In that case O chief executive, why did you even dabble in care if you could only do it inefficiently?

Then again, Kent wouldn’t have been in this state if they hadn’t invested most of their reserves into an Icelandic bank. £50 million smackers they lost.

This is one thing they have got right.

Republicans kill global warming committee

The kick-off of the 112th Congress on Wednesday also marked the end of an era in the House – the demise of a committee devoted solely to climate change and energy issues. The Select Committee for Energy Independence and Global Warming, created by Nancy Pelosi in 2006, has been shuttered under the new Republican leadership.

It’s about time some of our useless politicians came to their senses and questioned this whole quackery of AGW.

The only problem is that I found this in the Guardian. I feel unclean.

Common sense prevails

Mind you it should never have had to come to this in the first place.

A primary school dinner lady sacked after telling a couple their seven-year-old daughter was being bullied today won her claim for unfair dismissal.

Carol Hill, 61, had dragged four boys away from Chloe David after finding her tied to a chain-link fence and being whipped with a skipping rope.

She lost her job at Great Tey Primary School in Essex after telling her parents about the incident.

And of course the Headmistress had another version to cover up the bullying.

Headmistress Deborah Crabb had written to Claire and Scott David claiming their daughter had been 'hurt in a skipping rope incident'.

And the sacking offense was.

Mrs Crabb told the panel that Mrs Hill was sacked for committing the 'offence' of 'going to the press'.

Let that be a warning to you all. Just shut up and do as you’re told. Don’t you know we’re part of the “Big Society” now.

Time to break out the long johns

The last solar minimum should have ended last year, but something peculiar has been happening. Although solar minimums normally last about 16 months, the current one has stretched over 26 months—the longest in a century. One reason, according to a paper submitted to the International Astronomical Union Symposium No. 273, an online colloquium, is that the magnetic field strength of sunspots appears to be waning.

Scientists studying sunspots for the past 2 decades have concluded that the magnetic field that triggers their formation has been steadily declining. If the current trend continues, by 2016 the sun’s face may become spotless and remain that way for decades—a phenomenon that in the 17th century coincided with a prolonged period of cooling on Earth.

Who sues who?

In light of the revelation purported yesterday by Roger Harrabin, that the MET office knew we were in for a bad winter, but only told central government. Who takes the can?

If the MET office tells the government, and the government holds the information back from the public, local government,  and industry, can the aforementioned seek redress from the government?  Surely if central government had passed the information on, then the likes of Heathrow could have planned ahead for snow clearance. Instead there was chaos.

My second point I would like to address is why didn’t the Met Office publicly disseminate this information? After all it is the public that owns the Met Office through it’s taxes.

Here are the Weasel words from the Met office.

"We withdrew from making public our forecasts for the season because the public said they didn't want them.

"We always said they're useful for other people - obviously that includes the Cabinet Office and contingency planners.

"We did research at the start of last year and the public said a monthly forecast was far more useful than seasonal forecasts."

They kept that research quiet didn’t they? Too busy banging on about AGW I suppose.

Keyhole surgery.

Yesterday a warning appeared on the notification panel on my car’s dashboard, “Dipped Beam Bulb failure”.  A quick trip round to the front of the vehicle quickly determined that the offending item was on the near side.

Simples. A quick trip to Halfords was all it needed and back home ready to fit it today.

Not so Simples, especially with a hangover. The vehicle in question is a Volvo. Now, as many of you may know, in my previous incarnation before I retired, I was a Marine Engineer. Being a Marine Engineer meant that I frequently had to repair some very badly designed pieces of equipment. But nothing like changing a bulb in  a Volvo. Apart from only enough space for a two year old’s hand, why an earth run a wiring loom over the top? Just to make it invisible to the naked it eye I suppose. Is it compulsory for Volvo designers to have a degree in torture and psychological warfare?

So guess what your FE did next?
